Are the smoke units for the Christmas Express set engines bad or very low performers ?

Helps to have the set number.  Manufacturer.  I'm assuming Lionel 6-82982.  Typically these new LC and LC+ are decent (not great) smokers.  What was the track voltage?

It is a lion chief set 6-82982 Christmas Express set .

I would say it might be time to open it up and take a peek. 

I have that set, bought it last year.  It kicks out some smoke, not like the MTH units or the higer end Lionel ones, but some.  I have not opened it up to see, but for a $170 starter set, it does ok.

Hi Tony H , thanks for video,  it proves my engine has a problem .   

Jeff T  ,  I will open it up after Christmas . 

The blue tooth  option is nice .  I like using the remote more .

 Well, from the perspective of what I saw on that video, the smoke is, to say the least, anemic.
