I'm looking for a train show near West Palm Beach FL. Either in Stuart or Deerfield Beach would be good too. Is the TCA Train Show going to come back to West Palm Beach or not?

Thanks Bill.

jmiller320,
I have to inform you that all those train shows mentioned are over 110 miles away from West Palm Beach FL and would require an overnight stay. Most are closer to Gainesville or Tallahassee FL then West Palm Beach FL.
I appreciate your efforts.
I am looking for something within 45 minutes of my house or zip code 33467.

Lee, I live in Maryland, so I'm not very familier with Florida unless I look at a map. I was down in the Brooksville area working for the whole month of July last year. We were working 10 hour days Monday thru Thursday. During the sequestration they shut us down after two hours on Thursday. I had plenty of free time and I put 3500 miles on my car while I was down there. This doesn't count the round trip from Maryland and back. While I was there I explored Florida from Gainesville to Naples and drove over to the east side from Daytona down to Merritt Island. There isn't much to see in Brooksville and I had to get out of the hotel room.
jmiller,
I can understand getting out of the motel room. Brooksville is upstate Florida near Tampa if I am correct. Where I am at is about three hours or more from Daytona Beach. Ft. Meyers or Naples takes about three hours just to drive across the state of Florida, if you have traffic delays add extra time, as I usually don't get into traffic too much the way I go to Ft. Meyers FL.

I looked at a map and now I see where you are located. I spent more in gas driving around exploring central Florida than I should have. I filled up every day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The train shows I went to were not anywhere near the size of the shows in the north east. Many were mostly HO, but I did find a few good deals along the way.
If you ever get down here again, Ft. Meyers or Deerfield Beach or Stuart FL have some of the better shows for O gauge trains.
Daytona Beach area has Round House South hobby shop, Miami has Ready To Roll hobby shop and that is one of the biggest hobby shops in south FL.

I'll have to plan a trip. They finished up the project at the Withlacoochee State Forest. Next time I come down it will be all on my dime.
The one in Stuart was a month or so ago. I went to it but there wasn't much for O-Gauge. Some old stuff. I'll look for notices if they are having another one soon and let you know.

Dennis,
Where was the train show in Stuart FL? Was it at the fairgrounds or at the Knights of Columbus hall out by Kanner Hwy?
Usually the TCA meet is in March at the Knights of Columbus hall.

Just seen the TCA train show announcement for March 22 in Palm Beach Gardens, a new location.
