GRJ for sure!!
Chris, Locolawyer is like the Pope. You need to make an appointment for an audience. Send in your letter of introduction and see what comes of it. I will be sure to put in a good word for you.
Oh my goodness Jack, youre not chopped liver, that was one of the highlights of our trip. let me edit that
I would like to meet Scott,Rich,Eric of Erics trains.Mr and Mrs Muffins,Mike, and Tony Lash. That layout of his just blew my mind.
Eric is a guy I would like to say hello. I enjoy his video reports very much.
I meet forum members every time I go to a show, and they usually come up to me. Ya cant miss me.
6'7", 310lbs and I wear a cowboy hat. Kinda stick out from the crowd. I cant hide very easily and my
wife complains that we cant go anywhere without someone recognizing me.
Marty,
If I am "like the Pope", that must make you the Jesus of O gauge trains.
Chris (Lonero),
I appreciate that you want to meet me. It shows you have good, er great taste. Next time I visit Marty since I know you live near him, I will have him invite you over to meet me. Bringing me a Railking or Lionmaster steam locomotive would be appreciated. Agreeing to buy Marty and me a beer wouldn't hurt either. Do that and you can kiss the ring.

Believe me, Don, a return to the Islands is definitely on the planning/must do list! I can't begin to tell you how much I miss Hawaii at times...having spent about 17 of some of the best years of my life there, as you well know. Will be bringing my sweetie (Wendy) with me when I make a return visit, so will need multiple Mai Tais.
I got to meet a number of OGR members at York this spring including GRJ, Andre, Lee Willis and others. I would love to meet many more if I get the opportunity.
Have met a few, but would like to meet Joe Altavilla, Steve Phetterplace and Sal Ross to name a few.
As many members as possible; and I've been looking for Matt Jackson the last two meets, but he's as elusive as the Yeti thus far!
Don
Let me see. I'd like to meet, not necessarily in this order:
Mike Caruso
Allan Miller
Rich Melvin
Sirt "Steve"
Alex Malliae
Scale Rail "Don"
GRJohn
Matt Jackson
And a few more I can't think of.
Larry
Some I'd like to meet, some I'd like to block from commenting...lol
I'd like to meet other Repair people that fix Lionel & MTH modern items like I do.
Just good to swap stories and tips.

I always wear my OGR Polo shirts acquired years ago so am easy to spot as an OGR Forum member. However, I can't say as very many people stopped me to say hello. I must look really scary, or people found out I'm a real A. H.
Dennis
I'm not afraid of Associate Horticulturists!! LOL
I made a trip to the Trainstock event (#3). I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a great social meeting place around the star attraction ....
THE TRAINS! & They have tons of them.... & more important, they love to share. I'll always be thankful for their generosity.
(did I mention the food???)
Matt was at York. He is a good guy to meet.
Everyone, We should do a convention............
I wonder if I've met a forum member already but neither of us knew the other from this forum at the time (or afterward)?

Lee,
I would not be surprised if that was true!
Loco lawyer charges by the hour if you meet him. Marty Fitzhenry has this deflated super bowl ring from some NE football team. Mike Wolf wears a Dolphins Jersey hoping for a win. I do have a halfway decent Jets football team now. Lol!
But seriously, everyone that I met on this forum are all great folks in the hobby. If anyone is in the New Jersey area wants to visit our club, you are always welcomed. www.ocsmr.com

Mark Boyce,
Saw your post about recovering from a wedding. Same here. My daughter's wedding was almost 3 weeks ago. Could have bought 40 of those new Lionel scale GG1's! I should be back in good standing with MTH, Atlas and Lionel by the October York!
Marty,
Been having a good time being retired from working! Down in Mrytle Beach this week on vacation from retirement. Yes, football season is just around the corner and we get the opportunity to be "friends" on Sundays! Lol!
Thanks for posting a great picture!

Fortunately both of our daughters wanted small weddings and kicked in money of their own. The second hasn't taken place yet; Sept 10 is the day. My wife and I paid for everything for our own wedding, so we appreciated it. Our two nieces and nephew's weddings were way out of line in cost, though two of the three couples paid for most of it themselves.
My problem is I spend all my train money on all the good deals with Forum members; so I wouldn't want to spend much at York. Seeing the displays and meeting all of you and many other good folks are the two reasons I want to go!

Well, I used to be a Bill's fan anyways.
Now I just deny it. I can't bear to watch. Our defense is slipping.
You see we got a new coach and well, he came from.......... Urr, umm, well, u know the story.

Well, your reply, and those of some others were out of line in my opinion.
Audi made an offer, Steve wasn't offended, and declined. Make an offer is common in many business situations, Steve didn't answer as if HE was offended, so I don't understand why some other people seemed to be, they weren't buying or selling, so what did it matter to them? Both sides were Polite, offer made, declined they moved on, the negative comments to Audi were uncalled for, and contributed nothing to the forum, except getting a thread closed.

650 of an offer for a 1300 dollar engine is an insult not an offer Audi would like to meet me I obliged I don't hide behind fake emails and zip codes I am real easy to find. Steve is too nice a guy to tell this guy what he thought of that "Offer" And BTW how do you know he wasn't offended
If Steve WAS offended, he shouldn't have been, it was an offer on an item he was selling, Fred didn't say that Steve had an Ugly Dog or anything, no reason to be offended.
I have both made and accepted, what some may have considered "Lowball Offers", especially when it came to trains. I have been a vendor at several swap meets , and have sold things to kids in particular, when it was something that I could tell they really wanted and didn't have the sticker price in their pocket, but it was something that I would just take home and put the box back on the shelf. Far better (to ME any way) to let someone who will use, appreciate and enjoy it more than I will, buy it for a bit less than I would have liked, than to put it on the shelf again.
Steve has as much as said that, they haven't taken ANY money from their train sales for themselves, but rather, ALL the procedes go back into supporting the shop layout to inspire families to spend more time together, potentially through trains.
With the attitude that Steve has shown, I seriously doubt that he was offended by Fred's offer. Steve Politely declined it, and I imagine that HE was as surprised as I was at some of the reactions that have resulted.

I was offended by that "Offer" That is below what it costs for an engine from Lionel for a dealer Like I said Audi lives in a dream world Swap meets are way different than a business He isn't in business to give away stuff to mo mo's
