And you, Don, with your scuba diving equipment can even expand under the house and have your trains running through tunnels under water. LOL, Arnold
PS: please post videos when tunnel construction is complete.

That's the only way to do business. I wonder how many others can say that? WTG James.
I have plenty of trains to keep me happy till I see the earth from down below. No need to pre-order or buy anything from the latest catalog from any company.
The Lionel wifi caboose will be the first item I ordered from their catalog in about 15 years. I want it as the price is right and it has features that will be cool to show off at a show. After that, no more buying, no need to!
I'm too happy, in fact I'm so overjoyed that I can't wait to get rid of most of it.............
nope. it's 90% sold off and the rest packed in bins. got to the point where work was too demanding to keep up with the hobby, and family needs meant giving up the layout room. Retiring soon, hoping I can get back to it, but space will not be coming available in the foreseeable future. so.. yeah... nope.
Ted, you’re just trying to convince yourself. You’re as weak for trains as the rest of us. I know I’ll see you at the York Meet with a full load of trains in the trunk of your car!
I love the hobby and have since 1966. There is always another engine I would like. However the maintenance becomes too much. So anytime I buy an engine I sell off one .
My biggest issue is time and energy. Being 60 and working 50+ hours a week is becoming too much. Once I hang it up I’ll get back into it like I want to.
Very much, will be adding more to the accumulation in 2019.

More than happy with what I have. Its a bit much but I maintain what I have and when I get tired of or just dont run something , off to the secondary market.
I am very happy with what I have, having sold-off stuff that doesn't "fit". Looking forward to revisiting with what I have in boxes after we complete this move. Not to say that I don't have my eye on some accessories; signals, bridges, buildings, scenery effects & peeps.

Also will need to "thin the herd" a bit because I'm really blessed with too much to actually make use of.
Exactly how I feel Allan.

Ditto, Allan and Lou; and Tiffany, anyone who has to finance their toy trains making monthly payments on them, imo, should likely not buy them.
HAPPY, absolutely.
In search of trains...CONSTANTLY until the day I start blowing sand bubbles being hard headed as I am.
I'll always be searching for some kind of train item.
But, I'm still HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY. and blessed.

Yes, when I built my train building I was thinking I should have built it bigger but stayed at 20 by 50. I got the layout built and now need to start to do small repairs. I have too many cars and engines and need to take some off of the layout ( so I can purchase more when I see something I like) Been running trains for approx. 9 years and still do not have all the track wired up. But I have not worked on the layout for a year or so.
The wife said trains keeps me out of the bars.
I'm happy with what I have in trains and In life overall.
Happy with my trains? Not even close.
I'm Ecstatic about my trains! So pleased, I added an overhead line to the bar/living room area, after retirement.
These are short videos, hardly top notch, but the first three show many aspects of the table layout. I keep them short to make it easy for the viewer.
The overhead layout (fourth video) is four years old, and provides a great deal of entertainment for the bi-weekly poker group. Next year will be the groups' 30th. Between the beering and boozing, ballgames and partying, the only trains that run on poker night, are those on the overhead layout. LCP and DCS speed control is fabulous, but, you still have to keep an eye on those babies.
I love Keith's comment about his wife saying the trains keep him out of the bars. My comment is, "Can't we have both?"
Also, I join most in wishing there was more space to add more track and more trains. I have two large layouts. The answer to the question of what do we want now, is, simply, "More."

Oh, Sam, can you see
That big green tree
With tinsel on top
And my dream trains
Waiting there for me?
I am very fortunate to have what I have.

That is one big and beautiful building! With A/C no doubt! Wow!! That's Great!
Extremely content with what I have. Running 3 loops with 3 locos that I love. I'd like to expand my layout's width. I have the space, the track, the table top, but need legs and baseboard underneath and haven't gotten around to building that. In addition, would like to make a nice, sturdy elevated line- but right now don't have the space as my accessories would have to be rearranged and I like the current set-up. I have too many locos and rolling stock sitting on my display shelf or on a dead spur next to my loop. I have enough transformers. Again- its space.
There are a couple of locos/rolling stock I'd like to get, as well as some accessories, but in time that will come. In the meantime, just trying to build my knowledge base to run what I have efficiently and plan for my expansion.
an awesome Mom & Dad and family !!
a really nice new girlfriend...
a totally cute puppy, my train buddy "IZZY"...
a great group of friends...
many from here @ OGR...
and a house full of trains !
and very thankful too !!
Yeah, much happier than a couple weeks ago.
I have a grandchild who loves model trains, a daughter who got her a Lionel ready-to-play PE, and a son-in-law who enjoys setting up the tracks.
A quick check of the storage bins suggests I sold off all the Lionel Heritage trains, so I no longer have an incomplete set.
And we have our first indoor tree of this century - with a brand-new Brio 0-4-0 making the rounds!
