I picked up a model book that had a lengthy article on the Argent Lumber Co. of S. Carolina. The logging operation and road were put out of business in 1956 by a minimum wage law, and seven three foot wood burners were dispersed, coast to coast in 1960. Where are they now, any still running and in the Midwest?
