Hello everyone. I know I have been on this site for a long time almost from the start. Well the reason I am hear today is to ask for some help. I know some of you guys through going to the Dupage County Fair each month and attending the breakfast wear we have 10 to 15 guys showing up each time. And this is wear I should ask if any of you guys are willing to help me out. First I should explain my situation . Well I used to be a Low Voltage Electrician Local 701 I.B.E.W . So you would all think I should know this and that's wear I stand also. Scratching my head.
Ok Lets start off wear I was on Dialysis During this time I lost my right leg in January. Four years ago. Then on July 28 I had my Kidney Transplant which will be 4 years now. Then I had 2 mini strokes within 2 months Then I had a 3 way bypass in September. Then I waited 2 years and I went to see the Heart DR. again and they opened me up 1 more time to replace a Valve in my heart. I am only 47 years old and I really want to get this long a waited layout up and running.
Right now I have 95% of Atlas track laid out. I also have Woodland Scenics road bed waiting to be laid out. All of the Bench work is now complete. Wire is about 3/4 pulled. The layout plan is Atlas O-20 The Texas-Western. I have all the Track 6929 Heavy Duty Selectors. I have all the Deluxe Switch control Boxes #57. I also have all the #6924 O Non-Derail Circuit Boards. I have all the Tortoise Slow motion switch Machines. I have all the Buss Fuses AGC-3-R . & all the Buss Fuse blocks S-8301-1-R. I have I think 3 DH-670 30V meters & 3 DH-670 AC-15A meters for a control panel.
I have 1- 6-32930 ZW with 4 180w transformers. I also have 1 MTH Z-4000 for power. Then I do have the original TMMC. & I have the 6-37147 & the #990 Legacy systems. I have probably all the terminal strips that I probably will need.
I Know That I am missing a number of items like Lionel AVC, Lionel ASC, Lionel AMC, Lionel TCP or should I go with the newer Lionel ACS2, Lionel SER2 ?
I know there are guys out there that will be ready to help me out. And just want to thank you all now. I know there is Mike CT. who has helped me in the past and offers everyone help when needed. So Thanks Mike I have spent a good portion of today just trying to read all the great posts and get a more info into this brain of mine. I have read and made copy's of Mike CT posts on the Atlas non-derail Boards and there wireing. I know you need to remove the wire from frog and then rewire them onto the #6924 board.
So another thing I want to let you all know that I live by myself. & my Son just moved back to Iowa this past month. I also have a friend that likes to come by every week or so. So I hope you all have a little understanding of my screwed up life and understands wear I need the help. Sorry if I was wondering off Scot Pensgard
