Atlas announced on page 4 of their GSC Newsletter and I quote: "...the most commonly requested track piece that was missing from our extensive HO track line was a curved turnout." Well Atlas, the absolute main reason that keeps me from buying Atlas O-Scale track is your lack of a curved turnout that has a minimum of O-72 inside radius. Curved turnouts can be quite the space saver and I have no idea why you don't produce a curved turnout that can handle locos that need a large radius curve.

And yes, I did send a message to Atlas O about this.

BTW, for those who didn't know, they also announced that they acquired Weaver Tooling.

True, but Atlas-O is having enough challenges just getting the turnouts they currently offer manufactured overseas and in stock at dealers Stateside.  Some folks have waited MONTHS for their suppliers to get stock replenished.

Anyway, if you really like their track otherwise, then just get a larger Ross curved turnout for your needs.  The two systems work well together.

BTW, did that GSC newsletter mention anything about the 12-car CZ offering that was talked about a couple of weeks ago at York?  It was described as being an exclusive GSC offering.

No mention of the 12 car CZ set but they did announce the new club car for 2016 - CN 1937 AAR boxcar #521497 w/ Aluminum Sides. And the biggie for me and many others the continuation of the BNSF Trinity heritage hoppers. Road names are BN, CB&Q, ATSF, and SP&S. 2 numbers per road name - 8 Cars total. I ordered six of the cars already this morning. Deadline is Dec. 7

Since the remaining Cal Zep car is not coming in until late 2016 I would think Atlas will probably not announce a 12 car set until the 2017 club newsletter.JMO
