Having quite a bit of Atlas track on existing layout, that is being dismantled, I order more track, close to $600.00 worth and now i find out that the back order may, THAT IS MAY b e filled in January. They are building and staffing a new track factory.

Post a "wanted to buy" comment in the for sale forum here. I have gotten some good track and switches from forum members here. Also check around different hobby shops and train stores, there is sill some new out there. It's just getting harder to find.
FWIW, I ordered some switch parts from Atlas a few weeks ago and asked about switches. I was told they hoped to have them before years end. I took that to mean track also. I was hoping Nov-Dec, but that's may be a little optimistic.

IF you belong to clubs like TCA and LCCa they too may have track for sale in their members listings.
