Well.... FWIW, the Atlas-O website shows the container(s) with these jewels shipped on 4/27/2016... and there's typically a 6-8 week lag between stuff departing the Chinese docks and Atlas-O shipping product to their dealers.  If you do the math, we're just about nearing the time Atlas-O should be shipping CZ product to their dealers... then dealers ship to us...  so perhaps early- to mid-July if we don't get caught up in Atlas-O's "summer vacation"?

The current container report [www.atlasrr.co/containershipping.htm] showing these products has a 5/30/16 date, is this the balance of the models being produced or the real date?

I have 3 CZ Domes coming from Petersen, which will complete my 11 car consist unless I can pull a Silver River out of the hat.  Andy says they will be on my porch by July 1st.  He has been spot on over the years.  We'll see?  About 20 years ago I bought a Williams scale DRG&W PA ABA NIB in a York parking lot for $150 with no plans for it.  When Atlas announced the CZ deal I took it out and found it underpowered.  I have now repowered both A units and it pulls like a dream.  It pulls my 11 car El Capitan at grade on my club with ease.  I can power the B unit if I need to.  I'm pretty confident that it will handle the CZ.  If not I'll power the B.  My cars are a mixed bag like the real CZ, but heavy on DRG&W.  At this point I have less than $300 invested in the power.  Not like I have not spent a bunch elsewhere, but you have to a W once in awhile.

Man, how I wish they'd made either of these as they're well-travelled cars on the West coast:

I rode one this behind 4449 from Vancouver to Tacoma for the NRHS convention. My seat was at the third rounded window from the left-

I rode this car over Stampede and Stevens passes in 2011

I don't model 3-rail but I must admit it'd be cool to have either of these 'under glass' on the wall of my layout room anyway...

I really wanted a silver solarium in CB&Q but I had to settle for an unlettered on and customs decals. When I was 16 my family rented the whole car for a round trip from St Paul to Glenwood Springs CO. Best family vacation ever, we have so many stories from putting 13 kids and 5 adults in that train car. I think the porter on that trip has some stories too but I'm sure he doesn't think it was as fun as we did
