I have an Atlas UP Dash-8 on order (for ages it seems) and I see they are offering a "Building America" version through the Golden Spike Club with the large flag painted on the side. I'll probably order one of these to match the stock unit. Coupla questions for you UP fans. They have one with a yellow sill as well as the more traditional red sill. I assume this is to simulate the reflective tape placed on the side sill. I guess there was just one of these units, and I wanted to see if it spent most of its life with a red or yellow sill. I also see they call it a Dash 8-41CW, not a Dash 8-40CW. Was this a special or upgraded unit made by GE for Union Pacific. And is the prototype still in service? Any info would be appreciated.
