Atlas has announced 3 rail GP40s in three rail only. Let's all send Atlas letters about at least giving us the option
to 2 rail them.

No, I think Atlas should offer 2-rail Premier models like MTH did. I'd probably get a CSX or DRGW GP40 if they were offered as scale-wheel, fixed pilot models.
I think it's pretty clear where Atlas stands with the Premier tooling they acquired earlier in the year. I'm thru converting 3-rail Premier rolling stock as well unless Atlas is willing to knock about $30 off the MSRP to sell just the body only.

Was hoping to add a fleet of 2 rail GP40s to my WP and SP fleet.
I'm curious, even though I will not be buying any, as to why the O Scale CSX & Port Harbor GP40's will not come with ditch lights when the HO & N Scale versions will. MTH made GP40's with/without ditch lights.
For $570 I would expect ditch lights for the appropriate railroad.
