These are pretty accurate to scale...scale cars!  I converted an original issue car way back in the early 2000s.  I sandblasted and re-painted it and added coupler cut levers.  Kadee couplers and Intermountain wheels where a simple swap.  The body is solid cast metal, so these actually track well.  Remember, the prototypes didn't have air brakes (the air line simply passed straight through) so they had to be coupled just in front of the caboose!
