Hello, have an O gauge, 3R Atlas Dash8-40BW, product #6857-1. I need a copy of the owner's manual. Circa 2005? with TMCC and a TAS SAW board. Works fine but need to program the ditch lights. Thanks much for the help; Falcon70

AFAIK, the only ditch light provision that TAS ever had was the Lionel AD-20B board. That didn't require any extra programming, if the horn is blown, the ditch lights should function.
I attached the manual for the board that was used by TAS.

Thanks much for the info John; I cannot locate it in side the loco with shell off; lights are off when stationary; lights work when moving including the oscillating ditch lights. Rather odd. Bill S at Atlas is helping but I could use a copy of instructions would be nice. Thanks again; Falcon

It’s been a while, but I seem to recall the lighting in this first run of these with the SAW board was designed that way to simulate Rule 17 lighting. I don’t recall anything to program. The SAW board in mine failed twice before I sent it in to TAS for an EOB upgrade. Later Dash 8-40BW runs came with EOB factory installed and don’t have the Rule 17 lighting feature.
Mr Rich, sorry for the late reply; I believe you are spot on; this era Dash 8 simulated the rule 17. Still wish to find a manual for it; thanks much for the info. Falcon70
