I'd rather see them use their resources in another place than on that forum. There wasn't a lot going on that we didn't hear here anyway.
It takes a lot of resources. We should appreciate what we have here.
Yes I agree with your Eric... However the forum did cover many scales some more popular than 3 rail. The hobby industry is/has been hit hard. Look at the retailers that have closed in the past few months. St. Aubin St., Ridge Rd (Gscale) possibly Ma&Pa O 3 rail. Tough times.
They had a system of approving everyone who signed up for the forum where they never got back to many people who did sign up for the forum. It was an invitation only situation and somebody could not e-mail all the invitations to the forum, making it a very exclusive club.
It is a lot easier to sign up for the O gauge railroading forum.

I used to be over there all the time when I was in N Scale. I had a feeling my leaving the Atlas forum would cause it to go into decline.
Atlas O forum –
I never saw much traffic on there anyway.
The lack of participation was very disappointing to say the least.
No great loss.
Kind of goes along with their blank shipping chart.
The reason there was not much traffic on the site might have to do with there were many people who could not get into the forum if they did not sign up during the period when they were still taking members.
