Although we are all a little tired about the supply chain excuse because of Covid production limitations, why can't we see updated delivery dates or even "TBD" instead of a delivery date that is 9 months old. ... Atlas doesn’t even show projected delivery dates that I can see. ... So does that mean it takes about 15 months from vendor order to consumer delivery? ... Does that mean I can expect my delivery about September this year?
Well...from what I read hear and from the MTH videos, the chips/electronics availability is still a problem, for all the importers (or builders). That said, it's not only the locos that are slow to arrive. Atlas does show a projected date, if you go to the production schedule page - but as you note, those tend to slip by. These days, for Atlas, I'd say close to a year, minimum, after the pre-order deadline (what you called the GUARANTEED PRE-ORDER DUE DATE), and more often 18 months or more. I have lots of Atlas stuff on order.
And right now, all the O items that haven't left China show, at earliest, 2nd Quarter 2023, with one TBA, on the production schedule page.
