Atlas O Track

I just ordered some 2 weeks ago from my LHS, they were out of it, picked it up last weekend.

Where did you hear this?  I hope not, as I'm still a year or so away from buying track, and I'm planning on Atlas.

Have you thought about actually contacting Atlas and asking them directly?

I just ordered some track from Charlie Ro and it's backordered - been waiting for 2 weeks now - hopefully it will come in soon.

At the trainfest in Milwaukee in November the atlas booth was talking about finally being able to ship track again in january. I didn't get any info as to why there was such a delay. But the booth guy said something about" we think we have gotten past the issues we were having and hope to finally be able to ship track again this coming January". 

What issues he was talking about I have no idea. Also I don't know if he was talking about specific track pieces or if it was about turnouts.  

Gee, what a logical idea.  So much so I just sent them an email asking.  We'll see what they say.

That might have been for 2 rail track.  I know a lot of places were out of it for awhile.  I think they have received it by now.  I saw someone on eBay was selling a ton of it about a month or two ago.

They were also out of Atlas HO for a long time at my LHS, they have it back in stock now though.  

Have you checked with JD's ? 

Atlas answered my email.  They are still going to make track!  Expect to see it 1st quarter of this year.

Gee, imagine THAT!!!!   See how easy that was?

I just spoke with Jeff on Wednesday about a track order I placed last week.  Atlas is conducting some sort of inventory and must not be sending out any track.  It will be at least two weeks until I'll receive my track.

Ahh ok.

So it's been almost six weeks and no track for me, is anyone else having this same problem???
