In the case of the S2 they took a $459 engine and list it for $619    Thats a 35% increase  That is crazy

I know people aren't going to like this take but here goes:

Perhaps, one of the reason's Mike couldn't find a buyer for MTH whole was that they may have been running with too tight a margin, and the cost increases we see from Lionel and Atlas for the same tooling reflect the fact that MTH may have been selling products too cheaply, plus inflation and increased costs.

Nice addition of some 40’ and 53’ well cars! Plus new containers which are really cool. Great catalog for sure.

Do you think the Atlas 53' stand alone well car will come with a full diecast body like the Lionel full scale Husky stack cars, I ask this because I have the 3 car set of Husky stack well cars and the ends are plastic only the well body is diecast. If we don,t know now can one of the show attendees ask the Atlas rep. Thanks in advance.

Doubt it.

I have to ask . . . anything new from Industrial Rail?  I've been hoping to see some new pieces of track become available for some time now.  If 048, 054, or 060 curves were made available, I could switch out my fastrack and build a new layout with more of this great looking track.  The rails are nice and sturdy, and the detailing of the ties and ballast is excellent.  Please add more to this great product line.

Sounds familiar...Wasn't it established that K-Line was doing this?

No, not yet.  Artwork is from a turn of the century car that we found on a mural.  Hoping  that we will have it ready end of the month....

Oh thats Very Interesting !!!! I looked and couldn’t find Anything and was concerned it was a fantasy car. A photo would have been better but this is decent.
Hope this appears with Falstaff #2 et end of month.
Is the Pearl car prototypical ?  I turned up a blank there too.

While records of what may have existed 100 or more years ago are scarce, we did put together this scheme for Pearl Brewing.  We basically used a scheme that we found on a 1940's era Pearl Brewing truck, with modifications to make it railroad car appropriate. There is no rr car photo that we went from tho.

The only Pearl Brewing reefer pic we could find was a 1960's and later 50' bunkerless reefer that had a 1960s/70s era scheme.

Thanks for info. The car will sell well in Texas for sure. 🙂
