Brand new Atlas 072 Switch.....sparking when Atlas engine passes over it.  (My only Atlas engine).  Apparently the engine causes a short as the roller and the wheel touch the "non movable rail at the same time......see picture.  Cure is simple - take a single edge razor blade and drive it between the two rails as shown in picture.  It only takes a "gentle touch" to provide just enough distance where the two rails don't touch.  Problem solved.  atlas switch sparking

Well if it moves backward with a little pressure, Over time and with a heavy consist, it can move foward. you might want to addd a cardboard or plastic shim in the space created so it will never tough again!
