You may quickly find that advertised or listed prices like Ro at $18.95 are misleading because the website has not been updated and the listed track is limited or out of stock. I am building a large layout using Atlas O and searched many places for the lowest price on 40" sections. IF you can find ANY at $18.95 buy as many as you can. You will end up paying an average price of about $22 + shipping.

When the dust clears you will pay $5-$6 per foot for new track and $70 each for O-72 switches. BEWARE THE SWITCHES ! Be certain you buy ONLY the new, more robust, switches with brass wire conveyors. Otherwise, you will go bald.

Scrappy

I haven't needed flex track for years but have had occasion to pick up other pieces.  If I have enough lead time I wait until Trainworld has a sale or for CTT to offer a Trainworld 10% off coupon.  I will also say that T&K is good to work with.

Track is one item that there is sufficient markup that dealers are able to discount if you are wanting to buy in quantity.
