"Giant Mutant Mice" attacked my O scale train layout galloping down city streets, knocking over people, crushing trees and moving vehicles. Left a substantial amount of droppings in the process. Had a visit by the exterminator this morning that collected several mice (one of them living) and leaving traps on the layout in case there were more. Now commencing cleanup operations. Hopefully, the problem is over now.

Wow, usually they're all inside before this time of year.
The one time I had a problem was a field mouse who ran in through an open door and snacked on my papier mache mountain that night.
They were apparently living in the finished ceiling above the trainroom and accessed the train table where the train passes through a "tunnel" in the drywall. Exterminator thinks they got in the house through a gap where the wiring for my A/C unit enters the house which he has plugged. My exterminator said they were probably living on the Woodland Scenics track ballast since I found out that its crushed peanut shells.
Us humans aren't the only living things that like trains!
