Thanks for posting. I wonder if that's a paint job or a print decal skin. Either way very impressive and creative!
It looks like a vinyl "wrap", similar to what they do to L cars around here. She seems to be a graphic artist. Her website is interesting; look at the tab that says "Flug & Fahrzeuge".
It appears that the electric cab is at the "rear" of the steam loco image. In operation does the loco seem to be running backwards?
Now, if they could figure a way to make the "wheels" rotate...

There's a cab on each end of the electric loco.
I'll be looking out for this engine when I go to Austria next week.

Look again. Directly below the "elbow" of the pantograph is a cab window.
GOOD AFTERNOON ALL, They sure put on a great show, wish I could make it there this time around. 25 years ago this was there 150 year poster. Have a great day, Bruce

Since the 175 years of Austrian railways was last year (1837-2012)..they just redid this engine #1216 020 with a new rendition..almost the same..they took out the front/back austrian flag and the 175 years marking..still the same superb class kkStB 310 on it...and this time the front of the engine is also pictured
In Italy by Colle Isarco
On the Salzburg turntable/ roundhouse
Now that looks really cool!!!
Amtrak should do the same - do a NYC Hudson for the Lakeshore, a Southern PS-4 for the Crescent, etc.

But Amtrak never operated a steam engine..their new Eurosprinter would be perfect for it...maybe a GG1 could be done
Aber das macht nichts! They run on tracks that Hudsons once trode upon. Think of it as a heritage unit.
BTW, they operated the 4449 on a transcontinental trip back in the 70's, and Amtrak handled the ticketing and adverts.
Check out the overhead catenary wires at the Salzburg turntable.
Sure would not like to parachute into that!
I wonder if that sort of overhead wiring was ever done at a US turntable?
