Auto Train leaves Lorton and crosses Occoquan River about 3:45pm. Scheduled arrival in Lorton is 9:30 am. Today I saw it crossing the River, northbound to Lorton, at 4:15, which is almost 7 hours late. Anyone know what happened?
Mechanical defect south of Richmond delayed the train three hours, resulting delay outlawed the crew with another two hours spent waiting for a fresh crew at Richmond.
Southbound P05302 is getting ready to depart Lorton as of 2130hrs.
I used to ride the auto-train monthly for business trips, and only once did we come close to the hog law, after two stops for ill passengers to be removed to ambulances.
