I have an Atlas SD40 with TMCC. It has 4 RPM levels: idle, 1/2 power, 3/4 and full. I'm operating it with a LEGACY CAB1-L/Base 1-L Command Set.
I cannot get this locomotive to increase/decrease diesel roar in automatic mode. When I turn the throttle the RPMs go to 1/2 power then back to idle when I stop turning the throttle. It only increases manually by pressing 3 and decreases manually by pressing 6 on the CAB 1-L. It's not that big of a deal since there are only 4 RPM levels but my other TMCC locomotives will increase RPM in both automatic and manual modes.
This is what I've done so far:
Reset the engine by pressing AUX1 + 0.
Reset the R2LC boards.
Set up the locomotive to run in both 32 and 128 speed step mode.
Adjusted the pre-pulse and background pulse of the EOB by changing the numerical values to higher and lower settings.
Reset both the master chuff and chuff rates. Default chuff rate for a diesel is 4 but I tried 1 and 2 and that didn't seem to work either.
All resets/rates are back to their original, factory default values and the engine runs in 128 speed step mode.
It's really not that big of an issue but I thought that since my other TMCC locomotives run in both modes that maybe this one would as well. All other features work as they should.
