Paul. Very nice pics of those cars

👍Great find Lee'. I'll never understand why Revell didn't supply windows with theses models in the first place'... It's also amazing how much we'll spend to get a model to look the way we want it to ...👀😃
Lee, hope you’re feeling better. I just ordered the “glass” for my build of the tanker, and I’m taking time building it. It’s a nice kit.
@lee drennen posted:
Thank you for the information. It has been a longtime since I built any models, I was disappointed that the glass was not included. Do models no loner include the glass?
Also has anyone built this White 3000 yet? I would like to see some completed, I have not started on mine.
Okay Lee, second order placed. I've been holding of on building the gas truck due to no windows.... Now that can happen... Once I get my eyes fixed👀 that is...😃
Thanks guys for the well wishes. Yes most model includes glass these days. Here’s mine when Revell The original producers of this model had it. Atlantis bought from Revell
Great to hear you guys bought the glass I was hoping I could help. It’s easy to build on your finial part of the build leave the cab off the frame and the roof. Then put your glass in.

Paul, great looking scene and some really wonderful cars! Never heard of the beer but do like the car and story behind it!
Lee wonderful find on the windows!
I bought my first Corgi today at the goodwill that really didnt cost me anything cause I was buying a bag of cars for the grandkids to play with. It just sucks its the wrong size! LOL Maybe next time!
@lee drennen wishing you a quick a speedy recovery to full health! KNow you’ve got a great many people holding you in their thoughts!
also- nice Revell Tanker! Has me thinking of some things of my own I’d like to post but the ones below have waited too long
New additions to the on-going military presence on the layout:
Corgi Classics British Army Land Rover with Trailer. Between 1/43 and 1/50 in scale
Greenlight 1/43 United Nations Jeep Willys
Convoy escorting the Texaco Pipeline company truck to its construction zone
Comparrison of 4 Jeep Willy’s by 4 different manufacturers(from top to bottom: Cararama, Greenlight, Solido, K-Line), all stated to be 1/43, it’s nice to see consistency:
I decided to take the oversized Corgi Rolla Royce off the layout and replace it with this Elicor 1/43 Bentley T
Next, two items of the TOFC variety:
First is an Atlas Front Runner(diecast) with a Xtra Lease 45’ Pines Trailer(came as a set). from the first run by Atlas around 2001
I bought the Trailer & Front Runner mainly for the Front Runner. The Xtra Lease Trailer didn’t come with its wheelbase and my other, newer trailer’s wheelbase pops in and out of the Xtra Lease in too snug of a manner for my liking- hence it’s been relegated to sitting on these I-beams. Ordered some replacement parts
not sure if I posted this- at least not here. The C&NW trailers were $5 a piece which I thought was a steal!(yes they’re plastic, but they’re still nice lookin’). And the flat was a decent price so I bought the lot

Thanks for keeping the faith'..Next Wednesday, I finally get my cataract removed from my left eye.(my good eye). So I'm hoping after a few days,I'll be able to get back to work. This is the longest spell that I haven't built, restored, run trains, and no photography. Been tough.
I write this in the largest font, then reduce it, and send it out.. 🤪👺👀
Ahh! That’s right you mentioned that to me before. I know quite a few people that have had that done and they say it’s a breeze. You’ll be back at it very shortly thereafter. On another note, my latest, a Corgi Toronado has its primer coat on. It will be going into the paint shop soon. I’m trying something new with this one, we’ll have to see if it works. Will keep you posted.

PRR that sure is a sharp looking Mack Truck! I bet its going to look great on your layout!
I agree with mike one sharp looking Granite
Just finished this fuel tanker. The trailer is from the new Atlantis release and the tractor is an older Revell release of the missile carrier found on the “e” auction site. I made my own decals to match a fuel dealer on my friend’s layout. Pretty standard build, but I did shorten the tractor by 4 scale feet; I think it looks better.

Nice job there, Rick!
Rick, Great proportions and awesome weathering! Thanks for posting.
Tomlinson Run Railroad
Great job Rick, it's been a while since I built any models. Just opened the Atlantis 57 Chevy stake truck, oh the painting I'm gonna have to do.
@lee drennen posted:
Yes they updated the kit to include the glass. I guess I should have waited.
I still would like to see some completed kits when they are done.
Great Job Rick! Nice match up too thanks for sharing and will we see more trucks from you?
Cliff thanks for sharing the nice pics
Lee, thanks for the compliments!
...”and will we see more trucks from you?”
Yep! I picked up a second White 3000 kit tonight from Hobby Lobby (40% off boxed model kits this week) and am going to combine two kits to make a tandem axle coal dump truck.
No doubt there is a glaring hole in O scale waiting to be filled with 1/48 scaled vehicles!
Rick. You bet I’ll post some soon that I’ve been working on. The 3000 coal truck sounds interesting Yes I agree there a big hole for trucks in 1/48 scale
Tom thanks for sharing the White Pass Pete’s look great
Well here is my latest restomod. A corgi Toronado. Came in a blue color, not in too bad of shape, but I still wanted to do a full restoration. There was a big blemish on the passenger door, and the pop up headlights were chrome, which I never really liked so I painted them body color. Something new I tried, painted the turbine style wheels body color as well, then followed up with silver. I think it makes the wheels really POP. Here’s the before and after. You can see the wheels the best in the last photo.
Hope you like it, was not as much work as the Ambulance, but it turned out pretty sharp.

Nice job JD. The Tornado and the Riviera were two of my favorite Corgis. The Riviera, if I recall correctly, had the light-pipe headlights; good fun on a sunny day or under your desk lamp.
PD
Yes PD you are right on the trans-o-light headlights on the Riv. I have one of those as well. The tail lights also glow. They really had e ngineers designing their product. I love all the little gimmicks they came up with. Toys with some really good play value.
JD. Outstanding job on the Toronado. Thanks for sharing
Paul. Another nice pic. Thanks for sharing
