I have a Dreyfuss Hudson that is a PS2 upgrade. Purchased on the forum and it's a great engine. But I've never been able to adjust the volume manually so it has always been way too loud. Turning the volume knob (below) adjusted the sound from really loud to only too loud but now it doesn't work at all.

Do these knobs ever fail? If so can I replace it with one of the smaller knobs from a dead RTR Loco sounds tender?

Thanks

If you're running command you can do away with the volume pot all together, However in conventional mode the sounds will be full blast. In command mode dcs over rides the pot and you can adjust the sound level to whatever you want.. You have to do a slight mode though.... there are 3 wires going to the pot,,,,, disconnect the blue and attach the other 2 together.
