Here are some photos of an All Nation (Babbit) Atlantic that has been modified to be a B&O A2.  The A2 was a Pennsy design so I had to add the Belpaire fire box.  At some point the B&O modified quite a few of these and made them similar to their A3 Atlantic.  The B&O replace the original drivers with smaller ones and changed many of the features to B&O standards.  The Belpaire and inside bearing trailing truck was retained.  This engine will run easily on 072 curves and has TMCC and ERR sound.

The photos were taken by students in a special ed class from the Center For Learning Unlimited when the class visited the Angel's Gate HiRailers model railroad club in San Pedro, CA

Great work Dave

But I don't understand...here I am torching off every Bellpaire firebox I can get my hands on and your ADDING THEM?!?!?!

I didn't know these were/are 3-rail, are they?  I keep looking at the BTS site to see when they'll get their steam engines out of storage, it's been too long.

A lot of nice detail on your engine, thanks for the photos.

The All Nation/ Babbit kit was available with 3 rail drivers.  Actually they are code 172 drivers with and increased flange height.  You had to find wheels for the trucks.

The BTS plans to use the All Nation mechanism with new resin boilers and tender shells.  It will be interesting to see what he does.

The A2, being a Pennsy design had the Belpaire.   The photo is enclosed
