I installed PS3 in both units to get rid of the tether. I also fixed the pilots and installed Kadees on the front of the As. I am unsure how to install the kadees on the rear of the As and the Bs. PS3 sound files are awesome for this engine!

Great idea eliminating the tether , sound good too !!!
Dave, I run 2 MTH DL109's together. My couplers aren't body mounted. It's been a while but I believed I removed the 3 rail coupler mount from the truck. I'm not sure if the 2 axle truck is the same as far as having the 2 tapped mounting holes I used. I picked up some aluminum stock to secure the coupler to the truck. Might have got it at Home Depot. Looks like I just trimmed out the length.
It closed up the gap so that the diaphragms touch. I just checked now. The coupler height with this arrangement is perfect I run a single A unit. In your case. An A and a B. The fact that it's not fixed isn't all that noticeable and they track perfectly together.
Looks awesome man and it's cool you can now lose the tethers. I'm sure it will be much easier to install the rear Kadees when you figure out how. Any plans to weather them?
Very nice. Did you find the other B unit or paint one?
This was a whole lot easier
I know yours ain't Lionel but could be done the same way. if you want to body mount.
Thom, The extra B is custom painted.
Doug, Where might I get some of those?
Norm, I'm having a hard time weathering these for some reason.
