Have seen them some years ago and they are quite nice if I remember correctly. Those were the only set I saw however in all these years. I liked them as a refreshing change from the traditional dark blue ones above.

Sam, your use of the word "traditional" is probably what has me investigating the silver with blue accents. I've got a set of O27 Williams streamliners in the traditional blue and another set of O27 Rail King Madisons.  One of the latter is going to my son-in-law in a package to get him started. I've got 2 blue B&O steamers and the PWC F3s in light blue.  I like how the PWC F3s contrast with an all blue train, but I don't love the blue locomotives pulling an all blue consist. Too much blue for my eyes. I'm really leaning toward the silver streamliners.

It is interesting that one does not see more of the stainless finished B&O fluted cars as the B&O never painted their fluted streamlined cars in the blue and gray scheme that we always see in the model world.  Smooth sided streamlined cars did get the blue and gray treatment, but not the fluted ones.

Hold out for them Scott - I think you'll be pleased you did. They look similar to the silver PRR cars with the dark stripe if I'm remembering correctly.

Sam, I've been able to find the B&O 60' streamliners at a number of dealers, several of them forum sponsors. Not many left so if I want 'em, I'm going to have to jump soon.  One question.  I noticed that in order to get a set of seven (4-pack, 2-pack sleeper/diner, and full-length Vista Dome) like I want, I might have to mix and match from multiple catalogs.  They appear to be exact matches and just re-catalogs of the same product with different numbers/names, but I've never made such a purchase before. One of the dealers is within a drive of my house, but they don't have all seven cars.

Think they'll match?
