I'm pretty sure that MTH has NEVER offered ANY of their products with the "BCR". The newest Photo 3 systems do have an an internal capacitor, which is the same electrical concept of what the "BCR" does for earlier MTH products.

The stand that MTH officially takes on the BCR is "neutral". Not for and not against. Hot Water is correct on MTH never offering a BCR in any prior products.

The manual for this engine says "2.4v battery".

I may be confusing "internal capacitor" with BCR. Should I assume it is a battery then?

PS. I could take the hood off and look but I operate on the assumption that all the demons of Hades will be released if I ever remove a hood.
