Clem,

I just noticed that Duracell rechargeable AAA batteries are 1.2 volts and regular Duracell are 1.5 volts. Could this effect the performance of my DCS remote ?

Not in the slightest.

Every rechargeable AA or AAA I've ever seen has been 1.2 volts as opposed to 1.5 volts. For more than 10 years I've used rechargeable AAA batteries in all 6 of my DCS Remotes without any issues.

About the only thing worth mentioning is that, sometimes, instead of the "(B)" indicator coming up on the remote, the display simply fades out. However, this may be because that particular remote hadn't been used in a log while.

However, one issue of which you should be aware is that all AAA batteries, Alkaline or rechargeable, are not exactly the same length. The shorter ones will tend to lose contact with the springs in the remote's (arguably awful) battery compartment a bit more often than will the longer batteries. While it's not at all something that you should obsess about, I though that it was worth mentioning.
