I put together this layout plan this morning, and hope you enjoy looking it over.  It features multiple train running routes for two or three trains, with the possibility of having a fourth train on the layout staged in a siding.   There are some switching industries to service, and a small yard, though the emphasis is on fun running and watching trains.

The outer route is O-60, with O-60 turnouts which will accommodate O-54 standard equipment well.

The inner route is O-48 minimum with O-60 turnouts, and many O-60 easements, which will handle O-42, O-36, and O-27 trains.

The design standards that I try to follow include having turnouts wider than the minimum diameter (O-60 turnouts are wider than the O-54 standard and smaller diameters).   I also try to include either easements and/or wider diameter curves than the minimums.   So the O-60 is wider than O-54 and so doesn't really need easements.   The O-48 with O-60 turnouts are themselves easements wider than the smaller diameter standards.   Other designs that I have posted include easements when possible, with this design the are already built into the curves wider than the minimum requirements.
