Note that the Rich Yoder cars were made in 2-Rail only, and they a spectacular. The 3 cars "set" with the naval gun tube, require VERY broad curves.
Maybe look at what Rameesh Bishop(sp) has to offer. He makes truly awesome military equipment on flatcars....he might have what you want, albeit he sells completely finished product. Good luck and after you finish, post a pic...
My application is not as a gun car. I need a short flat car to use as an idler to load and off load a railroad float barge. Time period is post WWII so repurposing one of the 55 retired between 1952 and 1953 as a handle for my float would be within the realms of reason.
How about 'bash one by cutting the center out of a longer flat?

Is the MTH Cannon car too short for you?
