I happen to come across this video while looking up MTH 4501 and seen this. If I may ask, but what would cause the bell to do this in the video below? This is not my video, but I've never seen this happen. At first I thought the video was sped up or computerized, but it looks real to me. I've just never seen anything like this with a bell. It reminds me the rope came off the bell and it kept spinning.

Just timing on the pull and swing does it. It was kinda common really.
If there's no anti-rotation bar on the bell, it's gonna happen occasionally whether it's a rope pull or air operated.
I've had IRM Frisco 1630's bell rolling a time or two when I opened the bell valve too far too quickly.

1225 used to have this issue as well. Not that uncommon
I do that with our bell for the kids. It's pretty cool to see. Just pull the rope and let 'er go!
I've seen videos of 1522's bell spin, but not that fast. It would stop facing the sky, and then fall backwards.
The video you posted was pretty funny in my opinion. I wonder what the crew was thinking.

Since the engine crew probably can't see the bell, and it WAS ringing, they most likely were not "thinking" anything about the bell.
