Rick, all I know is I've bought 2x4s from Home Depot here that were very straight in the store only to have them twist before I used them. I've also disassembled temporary framing that would no longer fit back together several months later due to twisting. Admittedly, the pieces were stored in a hot garage. I imagine 115° temps dried thing outs. To be fair though, I haven't had a problem once things are assembled, so I'm not really concerned about it.

FWIW, here's what I'm trying to accomplish.

I guess I could build the 2 leftmost modules as a single 4'x5' section with cross-braces on the bottom to connect the extended rails. The 5 modules on the left could then be combined into a 2nd section that would be 3'x9' with cross-members at 24". That would certainly cut the number of cross-members needed and I can still place legs where I want them. There will be one of these assemblies for each leg of the "L" and I could get by with 4 sheets of decking. I could have HD/Lowe's cut them to 36" widths and use the excess to fill in the extension for the O54 loop.
