I have a few fences and other items that I need to glue down permanently to my turf base and was wondering what fast drying glue would be best for this?
I can't really use Elmer's or super glue on some stuff because I have no way of holding some items there until the glue would dry. Would something like contact cement work on bonding things onto turf?
I was thinking hot glue but that doesn't seem to have the strength I need and tends to look messy.
Objects like fences you should probably either drill into the base and insert with some glue or add mounting pins to insert into small holes in the base to add stability.
I use hot glue from some things or Carpenter's glue, but it you have to glue to the surface of turf then you are gluing to an uneven and porous surface. I generally will use a bit of the old Walther's Goo (rubber contact cement) to seal and even out the surface under the mounting location of the object, and then add a bit of CA to that mix for the final reseating into the mounting spot. Might have to hold in in place for a minute or 2. Of course, all of this does assume that the turf bases is fully solid and stable. It's only going to be a stable and strong as the base.
