Best glue for clear plastic windows?

I picked up a new old stock pair of Williams E7's that I intend to convert to the Train Engineer System. Just due to age, the clear plastic windows have all curled a bit and popped loose. I'm hesitant to use generic super glue as I have seen it melt some plastics. Any recommendations?

Also, is there a good method for relaxing the age-induced curl so they don't pop loose again? Or maybe just replacing all of them with newer material?

I use Ross school glue from the dollar store. It will not craze the plastic and it dries clear.

At work we use a glue that cures under ultraviolet light to fix watch crystals. I doubt you have an ultraviolet light lying around, but if you did it may be an option to look into.

If the plastic window is bigger than the opening get some double-sided clear tape. Walmart carries the Scotch brand. Put/trim the tape around the perimeter and stick it to the inside of the diesel shell, making sure no tape shows in the opening.

I use Canopy Glue for windows. Should be able to find it at a LHS. It dries clear. Also good for attaching figures in passenger cars.

I use canopy glue as well. It is made for model airplane canopies (windshields). I also used it outside to glue a clear piece of plexiglass to my pool heater. It dried clear and has held up for 3 summers in direct sun.

All doctors concur -

Airplane Canopy Glue is what you want.

The version my LHS sells is - Testor's Clear Parts Cement And Window Maker.

I found out the hard way that super glue was a mistake for what you're talking about.

Microscale also makes a product for making clear windows in smaller scale and can be used as a glue in larger scales. The LHS stock it too.
