I have a Reefer from KMT that I have decided to repaint and finally put decals on it. What is the best way to remove paint from this? I believe this was rattlecan paint.
Soak it in brake fluid for a few days, they used to sell a cheapo brand at Dollar Tree but that was a while ago. A quicker way is use the original costic formula oven cleaner but please use eye protection and rubber gloves if you use it.

It’s a plastic shell. Can this melt the plastic and deform it?
I can't tell from the photo, but unless the "rattle can" paint has a poor surface, there is typically no reason to remove it. Spray over the blue with a gray primer ("rattle can" is just fine), let dry, then have at your finish coats and decals.
I've gotten excellent results with Easy Off oven cleaner (yellow can) removing paint from plastic LIONEL PW F-3 shells. The $1 brand at Dollar Tree did not work.
