Best replacement speaker for AF 481 Silver Flash diesel horn? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have an EX+ 481 Silver Flash that needs a new speaker. What do you recommend? Ideally I'd like to replace it with another original AC Gilbert AF XA14B127 speaker b/c everything else about this engine is in fantastic original condition. However, I realize they are not easy to come by. BTW, I measured the resistance of this engine's speaker and it is 1.4 ohm. No matter the combination of original or modern capacitor and/or resistor that I try with the speaker it fails to sound off (i.e. buzz or honk) -- other speakers in a 326, 364, etc. with the same actuator sound fine, so I know that's working. Thanks

you can use a 8 ohm speaker, look on ebay for a small 8 ohm speaker

I pulled the speaker from a 346 switcher. It is yours for postage.
