So when do you think we will actually see it delivered to our doorstep?

My dealer, Imperial Trains, said he hoped to have them to us who can pick them up and completely checked out if we want before the 24th. We'll see. No biggy if not.
If you bought it from us we will slap the labels on and they will ship the same day the truck pulls up! That is our promise!
now that's good news!
but with holiday mixed in and mine will be shipping to Phoenix, Az I will hopefully receive prior to January 1.
Thanks for the reply.
"ditto" ST Paul. I leave in the Dallas Area

OMG, it's already started...
Our trains are being shipped at the busiest time.
I would be very surprised if anyone west of the Mississippi river gets theirs before the first of 2015. unless extra shipping services are added, all package shippers are saying they except record volume.
It gets there when it gets there. Expect the worst, but hope for the best. That's all you can do
Merry Christmas Guys, I Truly Hope you all get many Years of Enjoyment with this State of the Art Locomotive. Just post some Videos. Lionel has really stepped out to make a World Class Big Boy that will be a Fun to Run engine,as well as a Masterpiece to be handed down to our grandchildren. Happy Railroading.....This is the Best of Times!
Even if Charlie ships mine the 19th, with UPS's infamous "5 business days" shipping to where I am located, the earliest I can expect it is the 29th. I am not that worried though, it will get here when it gets here.
I got mine from Charles ro.. If they get them the 20th it's 3 days I might see it before Christmas. I am just praying for it to make it in one piece The way fed ex and ups handle stuff..
My shop was telling me about some additional protective packaging. Perhaps Charlie can comment.
Anyone who has a priority of having it before Christmas, and assuming your dealer gets it by December 23rd, it is called next day shipping. I am sure your dealer would accommodate you at extra shipping costs.
Just a thought for those who want it under their Christmas Tree.

Exactly, no hurry.
It's going to be an epic locomotive. Those who were on the fence will wish they ordered one. Can't wait to see all the videos in the future.
Laidoffsick, I can't wait to see your new VL BB in the engine service area of your layout. Make sure to post some pictures for me! Please!
