I've been checking out pictures from the current Big Boy tour. They are pulling mostly freight cars and a caboose. Just wondering why they are not pulling the Heritage Fleet cars as they typically do. I do have to say it's a nice look to see it pulling freight

The executive "passenger" cars were dispatched out of Council Bluffs, IA and initially had some previous agendas. The same cars for the eastbound fund raising "excursion" out of Roseville, CA will eventually arrive in Roseville, and be coupled behind the 4014 crew consist.
I do have to say it's a nice look to see it pulling freight
Especially since all those freight cars had been cleaned of all the graffiti.
Also nice to see it without the diesel now that it has ptc on board.

Well sort of, as the diesel was added into the consist at Rock Springs/Green River.
True but watching it climb out of Cheyenne without that diesel was cool.
