It has been a busy few months behind the scenes at Notch 6. Today you will get your first look at a new look and feel to Notch6.com This is the first major overhaul for the site since I started just over two years ago. With new sponsors coming on board it has made it possible to make some of these changes.

The biggest change you will see at the new site is the addition of news pages. I have heard for the past year how uncomfortable many of you are using social media. I hear those concerns loud and clear, but the reality is that many of the companies in the O gauge world are using Facebook and other methods to quickly put out news and other neat items. The new site uses what is referred to as  social media aggregation. The simple answer is that you can now see ALL of the social media news from your favorite O gauge manufactures, clubs, magazines, railroads and more.ALL WITHOUT A FACEBOOK OR ANY OTHER ACCOUNT. No tracking of your personal information, no login, no user names. Think of this as the new O gauge newspaper. All the information in one place, and no sifting through pages and pages trying to find good content. All of this content is publicly posted by their creators, we have just found a way to bring it to you without you needing additional accounts. All of the news updates as their respective creators update it, so check back daily as the pages change daily and sometimes multiple times per day. Also, I don't believe we've found all the best sources for O gauge content out there yet. If you know a group or individual that has a Facebook page, Youtube, or Twitter account that has great O gauge content that changes frequently, please let me know.

York WeekContent

Two big shows coming during York week. The MTH Catalog Special and a special York Edition of Notch 6 with our friends at Lionel. Lionel has also given us exclusive photos of some of the new products that they will have at York. Look for those photos on Thursday afternoon at Notch6.com

I suppose this would be a good time to mention that I will be in Spencer NC a few days before the move home and I will have our podcast rig with me. I am finalizing interviews and hopefully one other surprise that is O gauge related. If the O gauge portion of the event comes together, I will be reporting on a topic that I am pretty sure has never been covered in any reasonable depth in O gauge media.  If you can't make it down for the move home, Notch 6, Trains Magazine and a host of others will have you covered. Look for daily coverage from May 28th to May 30th.

Madison Hardware Shirts

We wrapped up final approval with Mr. Richard Kughn yesterday to extend our license for Madison Hardware shirts until 2016. We will have two BRAND NEW designs this year. The first one will be announced in the coming weeks and we will have another at Fall York.

That's it for the moment folks! Thanks for continuing to support Notch 6 and please check out the new site. I will continue to make some tweaks and adjustments so hang with me if everything isn't 100% up to speed yet.

I like the facelift on the site.  The evolution of your podcast and it's associated media has been enjoyable to participate in.

If possible, and you hit up MTH about a release time frame for the S gauge catalog in your V2 O gauge interview? (or York for that matter).

Thanks for making the manufactures and players in the hobby acssesable!

Hey Derek,

The Podcast is the best thing to happen in the hobby since The introduction of DCS and TMCC!!

You are a very personable host, and everything just sounds professionally done, and polished. I hope this show and your Madison Hardware Company allows you to go into train broadcasting full time,so I can get you on my staff at TrainTV !!!!

The guests keep getting more interesting, and as I said to you before, you have a way for asking the right questions and giving us content I knew very little about.

Keep it in Notch 6!!!!and please do more interviews with Bruce Greenburg.

I am certain after hearing your first interview with him, that this is a man with MANY FACTS and Stories to tell.

I have listened to that show with Bruce 4 times, and it is just absolutely amazing listening to him tell the story of how it all really happened.

God Bless, hope to hear from you again sometime soon!!!!-Kenny Baughman
