Ken Bianco jr and Trainworld have been treating me like gold.

Ken jr. called me twice when there were some issues I had with an order that arrived.

He is a class guy, always nice, even when there is an issue.

Other stores I have dealt with, are only nice when you order and sometimes not even then!

And you dont dare raise any issue without getting eaten alive.

In my many years of dealing with Trainworld, this was the first time we got stuck with a bad product.

I say "we" because, when a manufacturer does not keep up with quality control, it hurts the store and the customer.

Time is money for a store, and then they have to spend time dealing with customers and train makers about issues that are caused in manufacturing.

Either way, he is taking good care of me.

That is interesting you bring this up today, Chipset.  Yesterday, I received two envelopes in the US mail from Trainworld for the first time.  Enclosed were sale flyers.  I have never done business with them, but was happy to get the mailings.  In fact, I brought one to work to leave in my desk drawer.  Thanks for the good commentary, Chipset and Bob.

Chipset,

I could not agree with that statement more!!  I have found all OGR Sponsors to be regular guys and gals who treat me like one of the family!!

First, Trainworld is indeed a good place to do business.

Second, "anyone who buys from EvilBay is crazy" is, really, not a good thing to say.

After what must be a couple of hundred transactions since the late 90's, I have been

ripped off -precicely- TWO times on DaBay. And one wasn't even a train item. There have been a handful of items that have come in damaged by bad packing. All have been minor (repaired by me) or were taken care of by the seller by way of a partial refund - as I can fix things, generally. Most - 95% - of the transactions have been just fine.

Most of us do not live in the Wonderful Wacky World of the "LHS", and for many or most of the not-current things I want it's DaBay or NoWay.

I'm a lot of things, but crazy isn't one of them.
