Has anyone figured out a good use for the 'Big Red Control Button?' We have one, it's just sitting in a drawer unused. It looks like it might be kind of interesting and inviting to hit the 'big red control button', but I'm not really sure what it'd be good for.

It activates the last command sent to a TMCC or Legacy engine from the remote.
it was intended to help disabled folks and even younger kids for the matter to sound the whistle/horn etc easier.
It was the brainchild of Neil Young if I recall correctly.
If you have young children they can press it and sound the horn /whistle without handing over your remote.
Since we're sharing YT videos:
It is a distinctly odd fish, that it plugs into the CAB-1, but looks like it's meant to be mounted permanently on a surface. Don't really want to have the remote teathered to a 'big red button.' Maybe would be better just hard-wired to something appropriately 'big or loud.' Hmm

Gee Bob, your quick clip got me watching the cartoon links that followed it for over an hour now!
That video with Neil Young and his kid is precious, there's "Big Red" right there. I have to think about this button -- figure out something for it, even if I don't hook it to the CAB-1.
The big red button serves a great purpose at shows that my club does. I plug into an extra remote and lay it on the layout with the button near the edge of the table. We have kids, old and young, press it. If you have an extra remote, its great to make use of it when you have guests come over with little ones to see your trains run.
I bought four of these at the last October York from a dealer who was closing them out.
