I have a BL-2 diesel engine 20-2687-1 with a blown PS 2.0 board. I have contacted a couple of MTH dealers over the past 2-3 years to get the board replaced with a 3.0 board to no avail. I see on the MTH parts site that the board shown below is likely available. Is that the correct replacement? Can anyone suggest a shop that will make this replacement for me?

it 's not just purchase the part but has to be programed by an ASC Tech , MTH charges $25.00 to program!

You need the board, a 4 ohm speaker (unless the old board was a 3V board), and a heatsink kit (or make your own). Depending on the specific engine wiring, you may have to lengthen a harness or two to make them all reach, the connectors are in a different arrangement on the PS3/2 Stacker board than the older PS/2 boards.
Or you do a full PS-3 upgrade with the kit. Parts are there so not sure why your hobby shop did not want to do it. I just converted some PS-2 5V engines to PS-3 with diesel kits per owner's request. G
With a production date of 2006, this item had a 3v PS2 board.
