Black module questions

1) Yes but one at a time, Load the base, install it then load the CAB-2 and install it. The black modules will always overwrite the previous info installed on them.

2) You back up the engine info to your computer, not the back modules. I have to double check I do not remember if MU and Trains are backed up

3)1.5 will have a feature hat allows you to several engines to one module, not 1.4. This will be like have a bunch of orange modules on to one black modules

At this time the modules are pretty much only to install 1.4

Jon Z recommends doing the CAB2 first only because when you make the base module last you can leave it in and then just do the upgrade.  Either way will work though.

When you do a base back up to your computer, it backs up everything including the current channel number.

Just write over them.  No erasing needed.

The black modules overwrite every time you write to them, it makes them a poor item to try to back up anything to.

You can back up to the computer, that is more permanent (at least if you have decent backup for your hard disk).
