Here are a few more pics from my 35mm slide collection.

The 614 splits a pair of B&O color position light signals on her way north from Cincinnati to Lima, Ohio in 1981.

This is the place! That building was the corporate offices for the Lima Locomotive Works.
At the time of this photo it was occupied by Clark Crane Services.

Built in 1948, the 614 was one of the last steam locomotives built by Lima.

Accelerating out of Lima southbound, heading back to Cincinnati.

Digital Details:
These images came from 35mm slides, shot on Kodachrome 64 film. They were scanned on an Epson V850 Pro scanner at 2,400 dpi. The images were then downsized in Photoshop for uploading here.

Another great set of photos Rich. I had played the video of 765 you put on the other post with the "shotgun blasts" for my cousin's son in law who is also addicted to trains. I was explaining what few things(from videos and correspondences) that you have posted or I asked about to me. Needless to say Rich, you have another fan. Her son in law and her one daughter flew back to Tennessee this morning, my cousin, her other daughter and son are here until Friday morning along with my aunt. It has been a bunch of fun filled days, that much is certain. Plenty of railroad talk to be had.

I have the Chessie Steam Special and Safety Express from K&L Trainz in Trainz. Steve Lerro makes great virtual steam locomotives and other things in Trainz. I also have a route from Baltimore west but set in the 50's with B&O and WM lines as far west as Connellsville, PA and down the WM Thomas Sub part of it is a tourist line from Elkins, WV and Ridgeley, WV to Frostburg, MD through Cumberland, MD is the WMSR. Other parts of the WM are gone or are rail trails west of Hagerstown and parts in WV between Ridgeley, WV and Elkins are freight shortlines with other sections ripped up. I think the active portions connect with CSX's ex-B&O line toward Grafton, WV. I really wish CSX would start a new steam program with 2716 under restoration and maybe 614. They have heritage diesels now like NS does.
