I'd be surprised if someone makes a 5V bayonet LED in both red and green. My guess is a 6V LED might be bright enough - obviously a YMMV. Obviously, the trick is to find red-green colored lens in the same shape as the bulbs. A brief search only turned up clear/frosted lens type. So I suppose if this was all that's out there, you could apply red/green transparent paint.
Scroll down about halfway to ''Transformer Led Bulb 6 volt No Heat Will NOT Melt Plastic or Painted Parts'' to find an LED equivalent to the original type #1445 bulbs. You will need to paint them.
