I can't make it to the event, but the book in the link you provided looks nice.
I'm jealous
Have fun though
I just finished reading that book. It is a good one. I actually learned some things about the Blue Comet that I did not know.
I went today. Interesting, it wasn’t a TCA event as I had thought. The station had been under renovation after super storm Sandy. The Park Ranger that put on the presentation had said she had started to go through the archives when she realized that February 21 would have been the 89th anniversary of the inaugural run, so thought it a good idea to start Blue Comet Day. Next year for the 90th they will have a bigger event with more artifacts. The only thing they had on display was a table cloth from the Giacobini dinner car. I missed the author’s presentation, apparently he only stayed for a short time and then packed up and left. I had planned on getting the book, so I guess I’ll get it on Amazon. I didn’t stay for the documentary, it’s available for download on Emmons’ website:
One neat thing is that the Ranger handed out color scan reproductions of the menu from the last run of the Comet. Not bad for a free event.

Oh, forgot to thank @pennsyfan for the original post. I would have not known about the event without the OP!
Thank you James, METCA has the book.
Just seeing this now. It's on the calendar for next year!
