Took this one today. All I see on the net is the old green and black BN paint scheme.
Is this the same engine repainted?

Don't understand your question. The BNSF has been using that same paint scheme for many years.

Jack, I think he's asking if his photo is of the same engine with updated paint. It sounds like he's been looking on railpictures and only finding the old green scheme.
So, is it a new engine with a recycled number or is it the same engine with a repaint?

Well, it's a "wide nose" GE unit, so it sure isn't an "older unit".
The answer is it's a new locomotive. The old one was an SD60M. The new one is an ES44C4.
To answer his question. The engine in his picture is an ES44C4 I actuly found photographs of this engine on RR Pictures Archives. Oldest picture is dated 22 nov 2014 . Before anybody comments, when I did a search on google. I had also came up with the SD60M ex BN 9224. After the merger it became BNSF 9224. I cant tell when it was renumbered to 8124. In that same google search there were a few hits for that number. One for the SD60M and the GE unit in separate lines. The original 8124 was an SD 40-2 ex BN 8124 exBNSF 8124; and Now FURX 8124 still in BNSF colors.
Yes, I was looking at railpictures and couldn't find the current paint scheme. Thanks everyone for the clarification.
Once again, the knowledge of Forumites quickly clears up a question.

Honestly Tom, I didn't know the answer. I just understood the question, then figured out which internet "rocks" to look under.
