Here by me along the the BNSF main things have been pretty boring lately. Hundreds of the same old pumpkin flavored diesels.
A few weeks ago, these were parked on a siding across the road from a Del Taco, must have been lunch time.

Nice pictures Steve. I live on the north side of the sound barrier wall, almost directly across from where the BNSF signal bridge is, between Lakeview & Richfield (near the next Del Taco at Orangethorpe & Richfield). It's been tough living with almost 1k of those 4 motor/6 axle GE units. Was hoping EMD would be able to sell them some of their 4 motor AC units. Doesn't look so promising now.
Looks like a PR30C (ProgressRail) that hasnt gotten painted yet.
That would make for an interesting kit-bash.
Definitely looks better in pumpkin, IMO. But, that's my favorite engine colors so it's a biased opinion. I need one of those on my layout, the orange one that is!
According to my book from 2012, 1310 is supposed to be a NRE 3GS21C-DE and they do not yet have a 1320, so it must be recently acquired. Also looks like I need a new book.

Are these yellow BNSF units UP rejects? If so, why did UP reject them?
Also, I think BNSF will take anything additional they can get their hands on right now.
The NS P43s have had bugs since they left Mayfield and have rarely ventured outside the sight of Birmingham Shops except for relatively short runs. They definitely are not used all over the system.
